I enjoy this a fair bit, but I find the actual climbing part is a bit finnicky. Maybe there's stuff I'm missing but I think I've died more to the floor than actually getting eaten by this point.
A bit of tweaking on that front might be a good idea, like maybe making it so interacting with the wires on either end will drag you to the middle spot on the top or bottom of said wire instead of locking someone in place in 'climb mode.' Sometimes I'd try to get myself out of it just to find myself falling too far from the wire to grab on, or that it won't let me grab on, or that I'd climb to the top of somewhere and just jump at the end, fail to correct my fall and plummeting to my doom.
I love that bringing the screwdriver lets you mess with any screws you can find, too.
I might suggest other hazards like a rat or two here and there depending on the area or being able to make distractions by unplugging something...
Whatever the case, I look forward to everything you do, Mr. Woofington.
Oh I did encounter 1 bug. when Madison is by the vending and coffee machines, if you make noise by the storage closet, there is a chance her pathing will get stuck on the pillar near her, even making noise much closer in an attempt to get her to turn around did not unstick her from the pillar.
I was told similar things from testers too, on how the NPCs get sometimes stuck on stuff, sadly i was not able to replicate it myself but i am looking into it
great update, the new area was fun to explore, and the connecting vent system I can see adding a lot of potential for getting around. a bit of a shame the new pred only has one scene (or atleast only OV) as I've seen others say some kind of indicator of when you've played out/seen all a scene has to offer would be nice, kinda just went around Madison's guts a few times without noticing the loop. but overall a very enjoyable micro experience and I look forwards to what you have in store for both this, and your other projects.
The demo was for the most part functional and was for the most part pretty good and I honestly did have a fun time playing it.
Anyways here's my feedback/criticisms with it:
- Fullscreen doesn't work properly And yes I did changing the resolution and it only changes the window size (typical Godot)
- No sound plays on the title screen (Though this could just be intentional.)
- The boxes near the spawn point have a crack that is just big enough for you to squeeze yourself into and the boxes are tall enough to where can't jump out but just slightly to out of range to where you can't climb up (at least from my testing). Though I was able get out by jumping on a big item it still is a soft lock none the less.
- The ai is a bit janky since if you hide from [I don't know name cause the text on the id was to small for me to read] when she's chasing, she will never leave despite the aggression meter going down (this caused me to have to restart on one of my attempts as she just would not leave the hiding spot).
- Screws get sent flying across the room if you throw them against a wall.
Random lag spikes (I don't have a freaking clue what happened but luckily it only happened to me once.)
I really enjoy this little demo! I'm assuming both scenes don't particularly have an actual ending? If so I guess I wasn't able to see them or was missing a command that pushes the scene further n-n'
enjoyed the demo quite a bit the only thing id personally like is an option to offer yourself maybe to certain macros they treat you differently like the demo character you climb the cable before alerting them and get a choice of where she puts you
Eeyup, and — if there's ever scenes that can play out differently depending on the items you've picked up — maybe a second or different thing for when you've done everything that you can do with the item(s) you have.
I very much look forward to what else you do with this game. I think it would be fun to be able to sneak into and explore preds like you're able to in Director Explorer. Like having to retrieve a key a sleeping guard swallowed.
Finally got to play it, really fun game and pretty well made. I can see you mentioned this is more of a tech demo, but I do hope to see more interactive defeats like the other vore animation, I wont say what to not spoil it for others :3
I highly doubt it, but curious with this being all pov, do you think there is a possibility for VR compatibility in the future? No idea if that would even be possible on godot tbh though.
I also did have one bit of feedback to report, its a really rare chance it would happen, but I did have it happen to me. Since the AI can walk around, they can occasionally walk over an object and ping it around, making it make noise again which make the detection go up. So I tested it and yes, if you are at nearly max detection and they walk into the pen (which btw is also a bit buggy with it no stopping movement) it can cause you to be caught even from across the room or someplace you cant be caught from. Not sure if there is a way to fix it or if its even worth fixing overall.
But thats the only "bug" I encountered while playing for a bit, which is really impressive for the godot engine! I look forward to seeing what you do with this idea, I am all for new pov vore games~!
Thank you for the nice message, glad you like the game so far!
About VR: Issue is that I do not have a VR set myself so I cannot develop for the platform, and i also get very very motion sick from using VR, so.... It could be something to consider looking into after the 1.0, but no promises there
I also noticed that issue with items sometimes getting flicked up by the lady when she steps on it. I did think about making it so she can pick up objects, basically deleting them from the scene when they are on the ground. Though that runs the risk of her deleting important items, softlocking the game Needs some pondering over how i wanna solve that issue
Fair enough on the VR front, if it happens at some point great, but even without it the game is very fun on its own, sneaky vore stealth is always a good idea.
Maybe you could have them do a pickup animation and instead of the item being deleted it just respawns where it started? Like she picked it up and put it back where it goes kinda thing? Not sure, im sure there is a solution/idea you will figure out :3
But yes, I am very excited to see how this evolves and wish you all the luck on not getting huge errors or impossible to solve bugs while developing it :>
If youre taking suggestions? I would say, if she finds something on the ground, or out of place. You could have an event play out where she picks up the item, maybe taking a second to look at it. (Giving the player a chance to run around or run away without getting caught-.) Before returning the item to its original spot? That way the item isnt fully gone, you can use items as distractions- AND if she picks up an important item the challenge becomes getting it back from its original spot?
I did think about something like this but the coding work involved is a little beyond the scope of what i have planned.. at least for now. but hey, more levels and NPC are planned, maybe one of them can do something like that
Yeah, windows is sadly very shitty about non-microsoft software and likes to raise false positives on stuff that is absolutely not harmful. there has to be some windows setting to make it less obnoxious...
Trying to download this on windows keeps popping up as a trojan virus and getting insta deleted. Is there something wrong with the windows download or just pc being over protective?
For some reason, windows somewhat recently decided to use AI for checking files And yes, Godot likes to show up as a virus because it modifies RAM, like any game does. I did some workarounds for it but I guess it did not work for 100% of users
Ah that makes sense. Not ever had my pc kill off a download that aggressively before so was a bit more concerned that usual. Thank you for the clarification though, excited to try the game! :3
Yeah, the new windows defender is very poorly made and will call anything a "trojan" if it thinks it could be sussy And the fact it just deletes the files and goes "I SAVED YOUR LIFE!" is just silly

Not entirely sure how to get past the Robotics room.
You need to find a screwdriver in the robotics room and bring it back so you can open the grate in the hub level
how does one untape the thing that you unscrew?
the tape is there to signal that the box is not working
but i need to change that because it is bad at signalling that
Having Difficulty trying to unpack the zip file and run it, any tips as it seems to load infinitely
what are your PC specs?
Given you now start already in the vent (so getting there obviously isn't how you get to the second area), how do you get to the second area?
there should be a vent grate in the starting area that needs two screws removed to open.
gotta get something to open those screws with
edit: It seems to work when I run and jump into the next section. I have no idea why it works like this.
I looked into the Vulkan documentation and the VK-EXT_device_fault thing seems to be a rather complex, device specific issue
https://docs.vulkan.org/features/latest/features/proposals/VK_EXT_device_fault.h...
This is sadly completely above my expertise, sorry
It just randomly became fixed.

Yeah, making a first person climbing system was not one of my smartest moves, haha

they do not have an end, no
the UB scene has some different "stages" but not an ending
the Oral scene is just the stomach
enjoyed the demo quite a bit the only thing id personally like is an option to offer yourself maybe to certain macros they treat you differently like the demo character you climb the cable before alerting them and get a choice of where she puts you
Glad you liked it!
Something like that is not completely out of the question for the full version, though no promises.
glad to hear cant wait to see what you add
i wanna know if anyone can beat my time
Current record at the time of writing on my server is 79:56
nice
someone went ham on the discord server :P
current game win best time is 44:37
some sort of indicator of whether or not there's more to the current scene would be a nice addition
You mean something that shows up when you have exhausted a scene of everything that is to do?
Eeyup, and — if there's ever scenes that can play out differently depending on the items you've picked up — maybe a second or different thing for when you've done everything that you can do with the item(s) you have.

Hehe, all I can say is that i have a few levels planned out on my whiteboard already :P
just saying: you really should add more specific content warnings since I'm not really comfortable with UB and wasn't expecting to see that here
Did not wanna ruin the surprise
Also any scene can be skipped at any time by pressing "R"
well I can't say I really appreciated that surprise
and I know I'm not the only person who'd be uncomfortable with UB so yes adding content warnings for things like that is important

is the vent the only way out?
For now, yes
I enjoyed this game. I particularly enjoyed loading the nerf gun and shooting them
Thank you!
I am happy that people figured out that you can use the dart gun :>
Great game. it works well and the premise is wonderful. cant wait to see how you expand on it in the future!
Thank you!
is there a objective to do or no?
Escape the lab

so what now
edit did it on another browser and happened again

ive tryed downloading it over and over still wont download
You will need to find a way to disable the microsoft security features for scanning downloaded files
It plays great and look forward to what the future plans you have Hans
